Q:Do I just need to record one piece for the preliminary round?
A:Yes, you only need to record and upload one piece.
  • Required piece for the adult category: “Long for the Spring Breeze” composed by Yu Hsien Teng and arranged by Che Yi Lee

  • Required piece for the youth category: “Sky God Rains on Us” Hakka folk song arranged by Che Yi Lee (Video specification: A one-shot, unedited video uploaded to YouTube or any other cloud platform in .mov or .mp4 with a 16:9 aspect ratio and a resolution of 1280x720.)

 
Q:I am a violist and I have already formed a group. Can I sign up for another group if a violist is needed?
A:You may sign up for a maximum of two groups within the same category. For instance, if you have already signed up for the youth category, you are not allowed to sign up for the adult category.
 
Q:If we are shortlisted, is there a chance for us to change the repertoire of the preliminary and semi-final round provided in the application form?
A:Yes, if you pass the preliminary round, you may email the organizer and request to change the repertoire once by 30th June.
 
Q:Should we purchase the sheet music from the organizer or contact the composer for the recommended repertoire on the official website?
A:Payment methods or ways to contact the composers are available on the official website. You will need to purchase or acquire a license from the composers.
